About Nicole
When I was 17 years old and applying to college, I had a very vague--if any at all-- idea of what I wanted to do with my future. I applied to liberal arts schools without knowing what exactly I intended to study. When I was 18 years old and a freshman at Connecticut College, I re-evaluated where I saw myself in ten years, and what I wanted my future to look like. I thought about my strengths, and immediately writing and communicating came to mind. It was no surprise, therefore, when I decided to transfer from Connecticut College into the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I will graduate in May 2012 with a major in Public Relations and a minor in English Literature, as well as an immersion in Business and Entrepreneurship. Though I've learned everything from AP Style to creating a detailed PR campaign, my real focus is on the future of the PR, Advertising and Marketing industries, especially the impact that new media has, and will continue to have, on our lives.
